Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
PolicyDocs.org is committed to transparency — including about how this site works. This policy explains what data we collect and why.
What we collect
When you visit PolicyDocs.org, we use a small piece of code called a tracking pixel (specifically, the Meta pixel) to collect basic information about your visit. This includes:
- That you visited the site
- Which pages and documents you viewed
- Basic technical information your browser sends automatically (device type, browser type, general location derived from your IP address)
- A cookie identifier that allows Meta (Facebook/Instagram) to recognize your browser
Why we collect it
We use this data to understand which documents are being read and to reach people who may be interested in related resources through advertising on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). When you visit PolicyDocs.org, your visit may be used to show you relevant content on those platforms in the future.
What we don’t collect
We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal information you haven’t voluntarily provided. We do not sell data to third parties. We do not require account creation or login.
Cookies
The Meta pixel places a cookie in your browser. This cookie allows Meta to associate your visit with your Meta profile for the purpose of showing relevant content. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block third-party cookies, which will prevent this tracking.
Third-party services
The Meta pixel is operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. Their use of the data collected is governed by Meta’s own privacy policy, available at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Opting out
You can opt out of Meta’s interest-based advertising at facebook.com/settings. You can also use browser extensions such as uBlock Origin or the Meta Pixel Helper to block tracking pixels.
