About PolicyDocs

PolicyDocs is a volunteer project that collects, organizes, and hosts primary source government documents in one place.

Government policy documents — Federal Register rules, congressional research reports, agency fact sheets, regulatory guidance — are public records that affect millions of people. But they’re scattered across dozens of agency websites, buried in difficult interfaces, and sometimes quietly removed. Finding the actual document behind a news headline shouldn’t require a research librarian.

We find these documents, verify their authenticity, and host them in a clean, permanent, freely accessible format. We don’t summarize, analyze, or editorialize. The documents speak for themselves.

What we are

PolicyDocs is a small, independent project maintained by a handful of people who believe public documents should be easy to find and read. We have no institutional affiliation, no funding sources, and no agenda beyond access.

What we are not

We are not a government agency, a law firm, a news outlet, or an advocacy organization. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, financial, or policy advice. If a document on this site affects you, consult a qualified professional.
